At Klangtech Limited ("we", "our", or "us"), protecting your user privacy is our core architectural doctrine. We build our mobile and tablet software applications across iOS, iPadOS, and Android platforms (including our flagship app, AA Settle) with strict data minimization principles. We do not sell, rent, trade, or monetize your personal data to any third-party advertisers or data brokers.
2. Receipt OCR & Image Processing
Our applications utilize artificial intelligence and optical character recognition (OCR) features to parse restaurant bills and receipts. When using these visual processing capabilities, images are captured strictly for isolating numerical subtotal values, applicable state/local tax amounts, and gratuity percentages. Images are processed directly on your local device whenever technically feasible, or securely transmitted via encrypted HTTPS endpoints solely for real-time mathematical inference. We do not permanently store your receipt images on our servers.
3. Local Data Storage & Cloud Backups
All expense records, bill history, and custom tip calculation preferences created within AA Settle remain stored locally on your device by default. If you voluntarily opt into multi-device cloud synchronization or shareable web receipt summaries, only the specific transactional data necessary to render the shared receipt card is encrypted and temporarily hosted on our secure infrastructure.
4. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA Compliance)
If you reside in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or California, you retain complete legal rights over your personal information. You have the right to request access to, correction of, or complete erasure of any administrative or support communications sent to us.
